High Torque Polygon Profiles

When using Standard Polygon Profiles PC4 and P 3 designers should in principle prefer the sizes in the following tables. Non-harmonic profile shapes give Polygon connections which allow movement of the shaft-hub connection when transmitting torque. The harmonic profile shapes give Polygon connections which allow no movement when transmitting torque. For exceptional designs, other sizes of profile can always be established. Broach sets are available for PC 4 and PC 3 bores as indicated in the Tables for the production of connections under contract by the Fortuna Polygon Department.
